This series was spun out from the popular Boston Blackie movies starring Chester Morris.  When radio produced this series, Chester Morris again took up the role from June 23, 1944 to September 15, 1944 for a total of thirteen episodes.  The lead then changed to Richard Kollmar starting on April 11, 1945.
